Annual Fall Organ Concert

Each autumn, we are pleased to present an organ concert played by our organist, Eric McKirdy, and other area organists. It’s a tradition that began in 2010 when the church added a clarinet to the organ, giving it one more “crayon” to color with in creating sounds. Our 1985 Moller pipe organ is the largest of its kind in the mid-valley, with four keyboards and thousands of pipes. When it’s played, you feel it as much as hear it.

This year’s concert is Sunday, November 5th at 3 pm. Eric will be joined by Salem organist Mindy Kleinman and Annette Upton from Hillsboro for 60 minutes of music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Buxtehude and Boellman. In addition, Eric will play a piece as a tribute to Lisa Boylan, a frequent performer in our organ concerts and recitals who died very tragically in September.

Admission is free, and a freewill offering will be taken to help fund our continued community organ and musical events at the church. Please join us, and bring your friends!
