The United Methodist Church has partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization to Imagine No Maria in an effort to eliminate this preventable disease in Africa. Nothing But Nets is an important part of the fight against malaria.
Eliminating deaths from this disease requires more than sending mosquito nets. It will require educating communities and health workers, and improving health care infrastructure and communication. The world-wide United Methodist Church supports the Imagine No Malaria campaign in the fight against the diseases of poverty.
