United Methodist Women

Albany First United Methodist Church United Methodist Women

Members of Albany’s United Methodist Women, known as UMW Searchers, welcome any woman to join them. The purposes of the organization are for spiritual deepening, supportive fellowship, and the active support of Missions, local and global.

Each year, seven regular meetings, accompanied by a light brunch, are held at 9:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month in the Fireside Room. In April, July, August and December, the ladies enjoy lunch at different locations. Meeting programs most often feature leaders of local non-profits or information about United Methodist Women’s social concerns. Funds are being raised through bake sales, rummage sales and donations to help support FISH of Albany, Community Gleaners,  the Early Learning Center and other local non-profits.
