Preschool
A quality early childhood program considers the whole child: physical, mental, and spiritual growth. As a church-sponsored center, we strive to provide a Christian, cheerful, success-oriented environment. Our goal in our mixed age classes is to enhance social and emotional development and encourage intellectual development, while avoiding the pitfalls of age and readiness separation. Emphasis will be upon creative, individualized learning experiences as well as the group living experiences that are important to the child at this stage of life. All classes will meet for chapel once a month.

Lori Mohr
Lori Ann Mohr is the ELC Director, a teacher, and a childcare provider. She has an AA, focusing on child development and psychology, from LBCC and has been with the center since 1991. Working with young children has always been her passion. One of her joys from the job is the view the children have of the world and their wonderful stories. When not at work Lori likes to walk and hike (let’s keep the trails simple). If you have met Lori, you know that she considers her hair her most important “accessory”.
Contact Lori at 541-928-4363, or by email Lori@albanymethodist.org
Dasha Sisco
Dasha Sisco has been with the center since 1988. She has her CDA, teaches, and is here for childcare. When asked why she does this kind of work she says, “…what other job can you have where you get hugs everyday?” Her home church gets to enjoy her where she leads singing and benefits from her long standing leadership with the youth group.
Renee Frisk
Renee teaches and is here for childcare. Renee has completed step 7 in the Oregon Registry: Pathways to Professional Recognition in Childhood Care and Education. Renee has been with the ELC for about 12 years. “I enjoy watching them learn new and wonderous things.” She likes to scrapbook, read and even has written a few short plays for women’s retreats at her church.
Etsuko Wisherd
Etsuko started with us at the center on Halloween in 2019. She has stayed with us even during our crazy pandemic child care. Etsuko assists us all in class and for extended child care times. She is always willing to step up and do whatever we need!
