Are there things that separate you from other people or God? Do you ever feel disconnected from life or yourself? Jesus Christ is the spiritual bridge that spans our problems and divisions and connects us to God, other people, and our true self.

March is Women’s History Month. Today we celebrate the history and current ministries of United Women in Faith, the women’s organization that is an important part of our congregation and the United Methodist denomination.

What makes you angry? Do you tend to hold your anger in or let it out, to do a slow burn or pop off? Anger is a natural human emotion and can be used for good, but it can also hurt us and others. Today we’ll explore ways to avoid destructive anger.

Do you want peace in your relationships and in our world? Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Today we begin to observe the Season of Lent. Jesus turned to Jerusalem to face his own death. We are invited to make this journey with him. Christ walks with us in the dark valley of the shadow of death. We shall not fear. Because He is with us.

Holy God, you are beyond our knowing, beyond our comprehension, yet we see your glory in the face of Jesus Christ, whose compassion shines into the world. Transform us into the likeness of the love of Christ, then we shall be fully human. We shall be fully ourselves. Amen.

We celebrate the contributions Africans and African Americans have made to Christianity, the United States, and our lives. Today we explore the message of Zephaniah, the Black author of the book in the Bible that bears his name.

Do you sometimes feel anxious, worried, or afraid? Are there some giant problems in your life or our world? Today we’ll talk about David facing the giant, Goliath, and what people find helpful when dealing with anxiety and fear.

Have you experienced a stormy time in your life? Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed or afraid because of the threatening storm clouds in your life or our world? Today we’ll talk about a time Jesus’ followers were caught in a storm and afraid, and Jesus’ response.

Today we hear stories about how God works through us and our church to make a difference all over the world. We are celebrating because our congregation paid our apportionments in full last year and impacted thousands of lives.
